BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I would like to take a minute and personally thank our entire community for making our 5th Annual Haunted Jail Trail an amazing success.

As I always say, our agency is blessed to work and serve the citizens of Brevard County and over the last two weeks, it was evident yet again just how true that statement really is.

Each year BCSO selects two different charities to benefit from the proceeds of the Haunted Jail Trail and this year’s two charities were the Brevard Zoo and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Charity that helps all first responders in Brevard County during a time of need.

This year’s Haunted Jail Trail set a record attendance with over 3,000 people coming to support the event and all having a scary good time.

Without question, it was a lot of hard work on our team’s part and I could not be more proud of the hundreds of volunteers that helped put the event together and worked every night to make it such a success for our community.

We would like to also thank “Frightmaze Productions” that came out with their team this year to help with all of the costumes, make-up, and scare stations. And of course a huge “thank you” to all of our volunteers, our Community Services Unit, our Farm Unit and most of all our citizens for supporting our effort to help the amazing charities and organizations in our community.
