Eagle Scout Ethan Carter Transforms Viera Elementary as Part of Senior Project

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA — Ethan Carter, an Eagle Scout from Troop 314, dedicated his senior project to enriching children’s educational experiences through nature. Ethan planned, fundraised, and built the outdoor activities himself.

Students can now walk barefoot along a sensory path, step into dinosaur footprints, draw on outdoor chalkboards, and soon observe vegetables growing in a Root Viewer, which is designed to show what’s happening beneath the soil.

In addition, a team of incredible volunteers and the Green Jean Foundation, Viera Elementary, has also recently installed 9 Vego Garden beds, complete with their own irrigation system. While planting hasn’t begun just yet, the groundwork is set for a thriving garden soon to come.

Ethan has given a lasting gift to the Viera Elementary community. The Viera Elementary team is deeply grateful for the time, talent, and generosity that are helping this vision grow.
