Palm Bay Police Arrest Daughter for Stabbing Mother to Death, Charged With Second Degree Murder

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay police arrested Jackalynn D’Auria, 19, who is facing Second Degree Murder charges after the alleged stabbing of her mother on Oct. 24.

According to Palm Bay Police Public Information Officer Lt. Mike Smith, officers responded to the 900 block of Canal Lane in reference to a stabbing that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, Amanda Ervin, and immediately began life-saving measures, but Ervin later succumbed to her injures.

After an area search was conducted, officers quickly apprehended D’Auria, who is the daughter of the victim.

According to Lt. Smith, Ervin and D’Auria had been arguing in the home when the stabbing took place.

D’Auria was transported to the Brevard County Jail facing the charge of Second Degree Murder.
