The railroad crossing at Malabar Road NE in Malabar will close Wednesday, December 16 at 7 a.m. and will remain closed through 12 p.m., Monday, December 21.

PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The railroad crossing at Malabar Road NE in Malabar will close Wednesday, December 16 at 7 a.m. and will remain closed through 12 p.m., Monday, December 21.

The closure is necessary while Brightline completes railroad crossing upgrades as part of the Orlando extension project, connecting South Florida to Orlando International Airport.

Motorists should proceed with extra caution through work zones and adhere to posted detour signs, speed limits and other signage.

Malabar – Railroad Crossing at Malabar Road NE

■ Full road closure 7 a.m., Wednesday, December 16 through 12 p.m., Monday, December 21 for railroad crossing upgrades. The crossing will be fully closed until the completion of work.
Detour Information:

■ Eastbound Malabar Road NE/SR 514 traffic will be directed to travel north on Babcock Street SE to Port Malabar Boulevard NE, travel east on Port Malabar Boulevard NE to US Hwy. 1 and travel south on US Hwy. 1 to access Malabar Road NE.
