BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A pair of basketball players are named EFSC Orlando Health Athletes of the Week for the week ending Oct. 24.
Women’s basketball player Stephanie Torres scored all 22 of her points in the first half during an 84-47 win over Miami Dade College last week. The sophomore guard from Orlando hit five 3-pointers and had four steals in the season opener.
Men’s basketball player Christyon Eugene is averaging 16.5 points and 10 rebounds after two games for the Titans.
The sophomore guard had his best game with the Titans on Saturday against the State College of Florida-Manatee, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
The men’s basketball team will play No. 7-ranked Florida Southwestern on Wednesday night while the No. 21 ranked women’s basketball team will play Palm Beach State College at 4 p.m. on Friday.
