Cocoa Girls Track Team Defeats Satellite High to Win 2A District 8 Championship

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Tiger girls track team captured the 2A District 8 Championship after defeating the Satellite Scorpions 204-198.
Multi-Athlete Mia Lewis won the 100 hurdle and Triple Jump Championship and also finished as runner-up in the long jump and finished third in the Javelin.
Liana Tyson won the 100 and 200-meter sprint races.
The Cocoa Tigers head off to regional competition at Satellite on May 1.
