Recognizing signs of autistic behavior and how to respond is critical

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department is showing support for Autism Awareness month, which goes through the month of April.
The Cocoa Police Department is committed to regular training about this lifelong developmental disability and the importance of recognition.
Recognizing the signs of autistic behavior and how to respond is a critical aspect of awareness.
“Our partnership in 2019 with the Puzzle Box Academy has helped us use our patrol vehicle as an ongoing tool to raise awareness and acceptance,” said Cocoa police officials.
“Let’s keep working together to be part of the solution.”
