WATCH: Florida Tech to Host Virtual Multi-Day, Student-Run Short Film Festival Begins Friday

ABOVE VIDEO: FITV Film Festival 2021 – For the first time in its four-year history, Florida Tech’s multi-day, student-run film festival of short films curated from around the world is fully available to the public.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – For the first time in its four-year history, Florida Tech’s multi-day, student-run film festival of short films curated from around the world is fully available to the public.
The FITV Film Festival runs Friday, April 2, through Sunday, April 4. It is entirely virtual.
The student’s accumulated films by both student and non-student filmmakers.
They received 69 submissions and through two rounds of judging and scoring by the FITV executive board, 20 films made the cut. The final roster features films from the U.S., Spain, France, the U.K., Turkey, Canada, Austria, and elsewhere.
The festival will be presented “live” starting at the following times and will run for about 90 minutes each day:
■ Friday, April 2: 6 p.m.
■ Saturday, April 3, 4 p.m.
■ Sunday, April 4, 4 p.m.

Additionally, there will be discussions, open-tables, festival “featurettes” and more, all done virtually. Judges will bestow awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Acting, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Sound/Design for both student and non-student films.
