BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral’s mobile harbor crane makes the quarter-mile journey through the north side of the Port to our new multipurpose berth, North Cargo Berth 8.

NCB8 was built to handle heavy cargo, including space components. Roads had to be widened and power lines had to be buried so the largest mobile harbor crane in the U.S. could make the move.

The 270-foot-tall shore-to-shore crane, which is the largest mobile harbor crane in the United States, came aboard in January 2019.
