Eastern Florida State College Women’s Tennis Player Tsveti Trifonova Named to ITA All-America Team

The sophomore from Bulgaria finished the season as one of the top 10 singles players in the nation

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s tennis player Tsveti Trifonova was named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America team.
The sophomore from Sofia, Bulgaria finished the season as one of the top 10 singles players in the nation.
“I am just really proud of Tsveti’s accomplishments here at Eastern Florida State College,” Eastern Florida State College women’s tennis coach Bobby Cashman said. “She really worked extremely hard on her game to get to this level and it was an honor and privilege to work with such a great student-athlete.”
Trifonova made it to the quarterfinals in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament, falling to the eventual national champion Destinee Martins from Tyler Junior College.
She becomes the second women’s tennis player to be named to the ITA All-America Team, joining Yuliana Monroy in 2017-18.
