BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis players Tomas Reche and Bernardo Vieira were named to the NJCAA Division I All-America first team at No. 3 doubles.

The duo made program history by winning a national title in doubles as Reche and Vieira teamed up to defeat No. 1 seed Jeff Guerrero and Cash Hanzlik of Tyler Junior College 6-2, 6-4 in the final in Plano, Texas.

The pair began playing together at the beginning of the semester and continued to improve, entering the national tournament as the No. 2 seed in No. 3 doubles. They won every match in straight sets in the tournament.

Teammate Mikar Fisher was named to the second team after placing runner-up at No. 3 singles in the national tournament.

Reche and Vieira are the first NJCAA first-team All-Americans in school history and the second team to be named All-America team as the duo of Frederik Oervad and Adriel Azucey were named to ITA All-America team in 2018-19.
