UCF’s Rayniah Jones, Anne-Marie Blaney To Compete at USA Track and Field Olympic Trials on June 18

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – The UCF track and field team will be represented by Rayniah Jones and Anne-Marie Blaney at the United States Track and Field Olympic Trials, which are being held in Eugene, Oregon, on June 18-27.

Both are seeking a spot on the U.S. national team for the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

One week after a national runner-up performance in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Jones will line up again in the event at Hayward Field.

The American Athletic Conference champion and First Team All-American qualified for the trials with her UCF record 12.73 performance on April 24.

The first round of the 100-meter hurdles is Saturday, June 19, at 8:04 p.m. ET. The semifinals and finals are slated for the following day, Sunday, June 20, with the semifinals running at 9:03 p.m. ET and the finals starting at 10:43 p.m. ET.

Blaney was a standout for the UCF distance program from 2013-17. The two-time All-American was a seven-time conference champion in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.

She still holds seven school records. The Ocala, Florida, native competed for Team USA at the 2019 World Cross Country Championships.

The women’s 10,000-meter run will take place on Saturday, June 26 at 9:44 p.m. ET.
