ABOVE VIDEO: The Cocoa Police Department recognized Sgt. Daner Román in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department recognized Sgt. Daner Román in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Sgt. Román was born in Spain and raised in Puerto Rico, and has wanted to be a law enforcement officer since he was a child.

Since joining the Cocoa Police Department in 2010, he has served as a detective and sergeant over two squads. Today, he leads the Cocoa Police Department’s Delta Squad.
