BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The City of Cocoa Beach is now accepting applications for the 2022 Citizen’s Academy, beginning on January 11.

The Citizen’s Academy is a look into the internal values, philosophy and operations of the City of Cocoa Beach Government, and is designed for City residents and merchants.

Classes run for 14 weeks on Tuesday evening, one session a week for approximately three hours each, and one Saturday session.

Participants will gain knowledge and insight into each department through discussions, demonstrations, and site visits to include a variety of topics and issues that pertain to the City of Cocoa Beach.

Interested applicants must submit a completed application in person to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, Police Records Division, no later than December 3. Once the class has been filled, applications will no longer be accepted.

The Citizen’s Academy is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Police Department.
