BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Brevard held their 6th Annual Child First Golf Tournament on October 2 at Turtle Creek Golf Club in Rockledge and fulfilled their goal of raising $20,000.

The organizers extended a special thanks to teen volunteers Cole, Cash and Rohan who assisted the GRG Golf Committee in helping everything run like clockwork.

The event’s 108 golfers enjoyed a speedy check-in, which gave them time to enjoy some breakfast and hit some range balls before the 8 a.m. start.

GolfCarts Unlimited hosted a Hole-in-One contest and Dixon Golf provided some challenges to keep the golfers entertained. The fall tournament was “Luau Themed” and golfers arrived in colorful clothing.

The signature “Loaded Mug” given to each golfer is Grandparents Raising Grandchildren’s way of saying everyone is a winner in their tournaments! This year’s mug included logo balls from Slug-A-Bug Pest Control along with certificates from Texas Roadhouse, US-1 Golf Center, Turtle Creek, a GRG golf towel, and a fun tropical straw.
