BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – West Shore Jr./Sr. High was placed on a shelter-in-place order due to a bomb threat before given an ‘All-Clear’ from police after officers concluded their investigation.

Officials at West Shore evacuated students and staff to a designated safety zone out of an abundance of caution as they worked with law enforcement to sweep through the campus.

School officials were asking parents and students to NOT go to the school at this time.

“We must keep the building clear and allow our law enforcement partners to complete their investigation,” said BPS in a released statement on Friday.

“We will update you as soon as new information becomes available.”

BPS says all students and staff are accounted for and safe.
