How to Install Unc0ver on iPhone and iPad

For some time now, jailbreaks have been in short supply, but they are gradually starting to come back again. However, many of those we have today are limited in the devices they support, and they are all semi-untethered. Today, we have a new one. Unc0ver Jailbreak is a stable and reliable utility with support for the A7 to A13 64-bit Arm devices on iOS 11 through iOS 15.

How to Download Unc0ver Jailbreak

There are two ways to install Unc0ver jailbreak on your device:

Method 1: Unc0ver IPA File

1. First, back your device data up using iTunes

2. Launch the Safari browser and go to the Unc0ver page

3. Download Unc0ver jailbreak

4. When you see the Unc0ver icon on your home screen, the download is successful

5. Open your iOS Settings app and go into General Settings

6. Tap on Profiles and tap the Unc0ver profile

7. Tap Trust and close Settings

8. Open Unc0ver from your home screen

9. Tap on Jailbreak and leave your device

10. When your device resprings, you will see Cydia on your home screen – the Jailbreak is successful

Method 2: Using AltStore

AltStore is a third-party app store that offers lots of unofficial content plus a couple of jailbreaks. You do need to use your computer to install this store and you will also need to refresh the app store and your apps at least once every seven days. If you don’t do this, everything will crash and you will need to start again. It isn’t difficult to do; using a companion app called AltServer, you just need to connect your device and computer using the cable or iTunes Wi-Fi sync. 1. Go to the linked AltStore download page on your computer and follow the installation instructions

2. On your device, open Safari browser and download the Unc0ver Jailbreak

3. Open AltStore from your home screen

4. Tap on My Apps and tap the + button at the top of the screen

5. Tap on Unc0ver 5.3.1 and wait

6. When the Jailbreak is finished Cydia is on your home screen

1. Launch Cydia and tap on Installed

2. Manually delete every tweak, app, mod, library, etc. that you installed

3. Open Unc0ver on your device and tap Settings

4. Toggle the options for Refresh Icon Cache and Restore RootFS

5. Tap on the Jailbreak/Rejailbreak button and wait

Unc0ver will now restore your file system and this may take a while. The RootFS message appears on your screen when it’s done – tap on OK and the Jailbreak is gone
