UPDATE: Law Enforcement Gives ‘All-Clear’ for Cocoa Junior/Senior High School After Bomb Threat

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – School officials announced on Friday that Cocoa Junior/Senior High School has been evacuated after receiving a bomb threat.
All students and staff were evacuated to a “designated safety zone out of an abundance of caution”, according to a school spokesperson.
This is the second bomb threat made to Cocoa Junior/Senior High School in a week after the first threat came last Friday (Feb. 4).
K9 units from the Cocoa Police Department and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office are working together to sweep through the school as part of their investigation.
School officials reminded parents and students that they will always take school threats seriously and that those responsible for making the threats will be held accountable.
“As a reminder, any and all school threats will always be taken seriously,” said BPS in released statement.
“They are never a joke and they carry severe consequences for those who make them.”

School officials are asking parents to NOT come to the school as they must keep our buildings secure for law enforcement to complete their investigation.
