SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The popularity of fly fishing in Brevard reflects the sports’ growing maturity, helped significantly by Lilly and Andy Renzetti. Tailor-made for fly fishing, the Space Coast offers a myriad of opportunities for local fly fishermen such as the Mosquito Lagoon, the Indian River, the St. Johns River and the surf. Since the 1990s, saltwater fly fishing has been growing consistently and you can go for anything from marlin to bass and trout.
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Renzetti, Inc., a precision machining company world-renowned for its fly-fishing vise grips, has announced plans to expand its Titusville-based company with a 20,000 sq. ft. addition to its manufacturing facility.
The expansion project is expected to cost $2 million; a financial inducement for the project was provided by the North Brevard Economic Development Zone (NBEDZ).
Renzetti employs more than 20 people; with the expansion, it projects adding three-to-five more positions.
The company began operations in the 1970s inside a Pennsylvania garage, before relocating to Titusville’s Spaceport Commerce Park in the 1990s.
According to company owners Andy and Lily Renzetti, sales grew dramatically once the Orvis Company, a national sports fishing retailer, began selling and distributing Renzetti Vises in the 1980s.
Today, the company sells its equipment in markets across the globe and offers its machining and manufacturing capabilities to companies needing engineering and precision manufacturing services, notably firms in the aerospace industry sector.
