WATCH: The 2022 Little League All-Star Tournament began over the weekend with games taking place throughout the Space Coast and the Friday Night Locker Room team of Steve Wilson and Orville Susong brought you the action on Space Coast Daily TV.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 2022 Little League All-Star action continues with games taking place throughout the Space Coast.
The Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Orville Susong bring you play-by-play action on Space Coast Daily TV from McLarty Stadium in Rockledge.
Tuesday night saw a new division start their tournament as 4 of the 5 teams in the 9-11 Baseball division began to play at Cocoa Little League’s Stradley Park.
On Field 2, Mims LL met the Port St John LL team. Mims’ Tyler Minch had a single and scored in the top of the first. But then the Mims’ bats fell silent.
Port St John’s Ayden Williams hit a home run in the bottom of the first while Bentley Cox, Weston Mullins, and Lane Thompson scored on a walk-off triple by Travis Taylor in the bottom of the third inning.
Bryce Crocker and Tucker Kordula combined on the mound for Port St John in their 18-1 win.
Meanwhile, over on Field 1, Merritt Island LL and Rockledge LL put on a barnburner of a game.
Merritt Island’s A. Cochran, A. Sherwood, and L. Zimmerman each scored twice as their team went into the bottom of the sixth leading 10-5.
But, Rockledge would not be denied as Ryan Michaels, Lucius Amick, Ashton Cross, MJ Harvey, Bryson Jefferson, and Yovanni Spratling all scored with 2 outs in the bottom half of the sixth for Rockledge’s 10-11 win.
Wednesday night’s match-ups will see Port St John and Rockledge on Field 1 with Mims and Cocoa on Field 2.
