BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – It is with great sadness that the family of Linda S. Rey (Bothe) of Cocoa, FL, announces her passing on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
Linda was a Patriotic American whose love of her country came second only to the love she held for her family. If you were friends with her children, she was your mom, too. She loved cooking and hosting gatherings at her home, especially for the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
She was a long-time resident of Brevard County, Florida, and formerly Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She graduated from Northeast High School in Pasadena, Maryland, class of 1970.
She is survived by her former spouse Henry Rey Jr. of Rockledge, Florida, son Kevin Rey and his wife Renee of Mims, Florida, daughter Karmin Teets, and her husband Guy of Clermont, Florida. She also leaves behind two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces,\ and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents and Sister Paulette Monti-Whitbold.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Wuesthoff Dr. Jey Pillai Center for Hospice Care in Rockledge, Florida.
Linda was an animal lover and supported the ASPCA as well as other local pet shelters. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Linda’s honor to your local ASPCA or no-kill animal shelter. If you donate, please share to Linda’s Facebook page, as we keep it online as a memorial.
A Celebration of Life gathering took place July 2.
