BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – A pair of soccer players fared well on the season-opening weekend and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Aug. 21.

Women’s soccer player Logan Humbert scored the game-winner for the defending national champions and No. 1 ranked Titans as they defeated No. 4 Salt Lake Community College 3-2 Saturday evening.

The sophomore from Rockledge also had an assist in the contest.

Men’s soccer player Junior Smith scored on a penalty kick with 12:40 remaining in regulation to tie the game 2-2 with No. 3 Salt Lake Community College, ultimately sending it to overtime where the No. 19 Titans fell 3-2.

The freshman from Manchester, England played in his first game for the Titans.

The women’s soccer team will travel to Wyoming for a couple of games this weekend while the men’s soccer team will travel to Nevada for a game against the College of Southern Nevada on Friday.
