National Hurricane Center Tracks Tropical Wave West of Cabo Verde Islands

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center has tracked a tropical wave that formed few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands on Monday.

The disorganized has a small chance of developing into a tropical depression over the next five days.

As of Monday morning, the system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Given the time of year, environmental conditions could help progress slow development of the system as it moves west-northwest at 10-15 mph.

National Hurricane Center gives the system a 20-percent chance at at developing further over the next five days.
