Brevard County Fire Rescue, Cocoa Beach Fire Extinguish Blaze at Sea Ray Building in Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to a call on Friday morning about a fire in the Sea Ray building in Merritt Island.

Brevard County Fire Rescue crews from stations 40, 41, 42, 43, and Cocoa Beach Fire Department’s Tower 51 arrived on the scene and used overhaul methods to minimize structural damage and contain the fire.

According to officials, after addressing the fire, crews inspected the location for safety before anyone reentered the building.

The origin of the fire is still under investigation by Brevard County Fire Prevention.
