(ESPN.COM) – A true sophomore, the 6-2, 227-pound Sanders emerged this season as one of the most productive and consistent running backs in the country.
He was second in the SEC with 1,443 rushing yards and averaged 6.5 yards per carry, which ranked third nationally among those players carrying the ball 200 or more times.
His nickname is “Rocket,” and he displayed that explosiveness with seven rushing plays of 30 yards or longer. Sanders had seven 100-yard rushing games and also caught 28 passes.
