BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Melbourne Central Catholic football announced the addition of former Satellite Scorpions coach Ted Kimmey earlier this week.

The former Scorpion head coach resigned in January 2022 and will now join newly hired head coach Nate Hooks at MCC.

Kimmey coached the Scorps for five seasons, posting a 36-16 record and culminating with reaching the regional finals in his last season as head coach.

Melbourne Central Catholic Head Football Coach Nate Hooks said the following when speaking with Space Coast Daily Sports Editor Juan Rodriguez: “Pumped up doesn’t even do justice to expressing the addition of Coach Kimmey to the staff. My mission is to make MCC Football attractive again. Players and parents want to be a part of a program that gets players scholarship offer as we’ve already done with Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Texas A&M, and that gets championships. Hiring Coach Kimmey is another step in doing so!”
