BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – After the biennial organizational meeting on May 1, the Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida elected a new board to lead the organization into the 2024 election.

The membership unanimously voted in the new committee helmed by Josiah Gattle, Chair; Blaise Trettis, Vice Chair; and Nathan White, Treasurer, along with regional directors John Weiler, Steve Lindsley, Patrick Lehmann, and Matt Nye, who also serves as the National Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus.

“Our mission as the Republican Liberty Caucus speaks for itself as we return the Republican Party to its ideological roots of limited government, free enterprise, and personal liberty and responsibility,” said Gattle.

“Champions like Bob White, Matt Nye, John Wieler, and Steve Lindsey have carried the torch for 14 years, and it is time for the next generation to rise. Our board represents a generational shift with four Young Republicans and four experienced veterans passing the torch to the next generation of happy warriors for liberty ready to take up the fight in 2024 and beyond.”

Gattle, incoming Chair of the RLC of Central East Florida, is a lifelong Republican, having first joined both the local party and the Republican Liberty Caucus at 16 years old.

Joisah recently finished a 2-year term as chair of the Space Coast Young Republicans, leaving a legacy of over 750,000 voter contacts, electing Wes Morrison, the first young Republican Mayor of Cape Canaveral, and helping over 20 different campaigns both locally and around the country as Regional Director for the Young Republican National Federation.

Gattle and his wife Julie recently married and settled into their home in Rockledge. Josiah owns two UPS Store Franchise locations. He attended the University of Central Florida for his undergrad before attending Mercer University for his JD/MBA.

Trettis, who will serve as the Vice Chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus of East Central Florida, was elected Public Defender for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit for Brevard and Seminole counties in 2012.

Trettis’ commitment to serving the public is demonstrated through his work in the legal profession and his volunteer work in various community service organizations. Blaise will be running for reelection in the 2024 cycle.

“I look forward to working with the Republican Liberty Caucus in its mission for less government and more freedom,” said Trettis.

“I look forward to serving with this esteemed group of individuals, working within the Republican Party to advance the principles of individual liberty, free markets, and limited government,” said Nathan White, Treasurer of the Republican Liberty Caucus of East Central Florida.

He serves as the Vice Chair of Palm Bay’s Citizen Budget Advisory Board.

Bob White will continue to serve as Chair of the RLC Florida

Bob White, after 14 years leading the Central East Florida chapter of the Republican Liberty Caucus, with the last eight serving as both State Chair and Local Chair, stepped down to make room for new leadership to provide new energy and focus for the local chapter. White will continue to serve as Chair of the RLC Florida.

Under his leadership, the state organization has grown from four county chapters to 35 county chapters and has been a symbol of liberty leadership across the state and the country. The RLC Florida is far and away the largest of all the state chapters nationwide.

“This is an exciting time for our local chapter here in Brevard County,” said Bob White. “My responsibilities at the state level have grown considerably as that organization has grown, preventing me from giving our local chapter the energy and leadership it requires.

“It’s been a great honor and privilege serving as Chairman along with all of the other officers and directors these past 14 years. Now is the right time to transition to a new leadership team, and I know that Josiah, the new officers, and the new board will do an outstanding job leading and growing our local chapter here in Brevard County,” said Bob White.

Tyler Sirois has served Brevard County for six years and has maintained an A+ rating with the Republican Liberty Caucus scorecard, leading the way for conservative and liberty issues across our County.

The next meeting of the Republican Liberty Caucus will be held on June 5 at La Loma on Aurora Road and will feature State Representative Tyler Sirois with a legislative update.
