Brevard County Fire Rescue Units Extinguish Residential Blaze On Mackeral Avenue in Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews from Truck 41, Engines 42 and 43, Rescues 43 and 46 along with Districts 40 and 45, responded to a structure fire off Mackeral Avenue in Merritt Island on Sunday with a reported entrapment.

According to officials, district 40 arrived at a small single-story residence with a working fire.

“Engine 42 stretched hose lines for a fire attack. Truck 41 entered for a primary search, which was negative,” said a Brevard County Fire spokesperson.

Reports suggest that the occupant was not home at the time and no injuries were reported.
