BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Friday, August 4, the public will have the opportunity to support seven-year-old cancer patient Olivia Owens during a the Drive-Thru Pasta with a Purpose Fundraiser, which will be held at her school, Odyssey Charter School – Elementary Campus, located at 1755 Eldron Blvd. SE, Palm Bay, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The pasta meal includes spaghetti, topped with marinara sauce (with or without meat), a side salad and dinner roll. Without leaving the comfort of your vehicle, simply drive-thru and pick up your food.

Family friends, Michelle Delaune, Karina Blankman and Marilis Apostalopolos, were instrumental in putting the fundraiser together and are hoping for a big turnout to support Olivia and her family.

Olivia, a seven-year-old Palm Bay resident, was diagnosed with a brain cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), which is highly aggressive and difficult to treat, and fewer than 10 percent of children survive longer than two years after diagnosis.

“We never know what life will throw at us, but a child given a cancer diagnosis is just not fair,” said Delaune.

“Please come out and support an amazing family in their daughter’s fight against DIPG.  All proceeds from Olivia’s Drive-Thru Pasta with a Purpose Fundraiser will go directly to the Owens family. Thank you in advance for helping make our fundraiser a huge success.”

Spaghetti tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance HERE. You can also purchase tickets by emailing LoveforLivi@outlook.com.
