Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey Applauds Community for Successful Great American Dog Tour, 16 Dogs Find New Homes

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey and Junny’s Great American Dog Tour was a huge success this weekend and yet another perfect example of what I mean when I say “It takes a community to protect a community.”
With 8 stops throughout the county over the course of two days and with the help of our business partners and citizens, we found new furever homes for 16 of our awesome dogs from our Animal Care Center.
The turnout from the community to see these dogs was incredible, and we couldn’t have done it without our great partners at all of the locations we visited.
Even if you did not go home with a new friend, coming out to see them and interacting with them helps in so many ways.
We cannot thank everyone enough.
While this was a step in the right direction, we still have many more pets looking for their furever home, so please stop by our Animal Care Center to see if one of these incredible animals would be a perfect fit for your family, and also keep an eye out for upcoming events as the tour continues.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered during the tour, our coach driver Rick Connor, who not only donated his time, but also his beautiful motor coach, and of course our great partners at Sonny’s of Palm Bay, Boniface Hiers Chevrolet, Grills Riverside, McDonalds of Viera, City of Cocoa, Merritt Island Moose Lodge, PSJ Beef O’Brady’s, and Shiloh’s in Titusville.
