Brevard County Schools Students Attend Best Buddies Leadership Conference at Indiana University

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools students Kayla Walsh and Violet Dobbs of Titusville High School, along with Mia Lopez from Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School, were selected to represent their respective school’s Best Buddies chapters at the Best Buddies Leadership Conference held at Indiana University.

They were chosen by Best Buddies Central Florida to attend BBLC as young leaders inspiring change and promoting inclusion within their schools and communities.

Throughout the conference, the three students engaged in informational breakout sessions and enjoyable group activities aimed at enhancing their leadership skills and furthering the mission of inclusion.

They also had the opportunity of meeting the founder of Best Buddies Anthony Kennedy Shriver, who was motivated to establish Best Buddies by his mother, Eunice Kennedy, the founder of Special Olympics.
