OBITUARY: Former School Teacher Debra Clyburn, 80, of Cocoa, Passed Away Sept. 15 Surrounded By Loved Ones

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Debra Clyburn, 80, of Cocoa, passed away September 15 surrounded by loved ones.

Debbie was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and is survived by; her husband, Ron; sister, Sandy; sons Shane, Sean, and their wives Crissi and Sheila; her 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Charles (“Kochie”).

Debbie moved to Brevard County and worked as a public school teacher for over 30 years at several schools, including Golfview where she spent most of her career teaching third grade.

Debbie was devoted to her family, but most of all to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She dedicated her life to the children surrounding her, including her students, family, and those of her church. She loved flowers and could tell you the name of any plant she saw. Debbie cared greatly about the people in her life and loved them deeply.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her and though she will be profoundly missed, we know that we will see her again one day.
