Eastern Florida State College Men’s Cross Country Team Places 10th at NJCAA National Tournament

Dayton Law finished 19th overall

The Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country team placed 10th overall in the NJCAA Men’s Half Marathon National Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama on Tuesday. (EFSC image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country team placed 10th overall in the NJCAA Men’s Half Marathon National Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama on Tuesday.

Sophomore Dayton Law led the Titans, finishing 19th overall with a time of one hour, 10 minutes, and 56.7 seconds in his first half marathon.

Teammate Simon Devoss placed 50th overall with a time of 1:15:50.5 while Gabriel Garcia finished in 1:19.05.1 which was good for 75th.

Trevor Cross finished in 1:20:29.2 for 84th while Anthony Bergnes was just behind him in 87th finishing in 1:21:17.3.

Matt Weiler finished in 1:23:32.7 while Carter Vigneri crossed in 1:23:55.7 and Chase Hill in 1:25:40.1 .

“The boys ran really well today, for Dayton that is a phenomenal first marathon time, could not be happier. They all ran really well today,” Eastern Florida State College men’s cross country coach Doug Butler said. “It justifies us staying, it is a good finish and now they are ready for a break.”

The cross country team placed 17th in the Cross Country Championships last Friday and completed their season with this 10th-place finish.
