Six Eastern Florida State College Soccer Players Named to All-Region 8 Team

Sophomore Daniele Verdirosi was named the co-Player of the Year for Region 8
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team had six players recognized as all-Region 8 performers on Friday.
Sophomore Daniele Verdirosi was named the co-Player of the Year for Region 8 after scoring 11 goals in 11 games this season.
The Rome, Italy native has also assisted on eight goals to help the Titans win the Region 8 title. Verdirosi shares the Player of the Year award with Daytona State College’s Carlos Zambrano.
Sophomore Kodai Tsuzuki was named the Region 8 Goalkeeper of the Year. He started every game this season and has eight shutouts, allowing 0.55 goals per game this season. He has not allowed a goal in the past six games.
Christoph Steinleitner was recognized as the Freshman of the Year in Region 8 after the midfielder scored his lone goal of the season against Daytona State.
The Munich, Germany native has started 13 games this season and has three assists.
Also making the all-Region 8 team was sophomore George Wyatt who started 11 times as the captain and was one of the anchors of the defense for the Titans. He has scored twice this season.
Pedro Amancio has started in 14 of the 15 games he has played this season and has a couple of goals and nine assists. The Maceio, Brazil native had a goal and an assist in the first meeting with Daytona State College.
Mukisa Emmanuel helped the Titans win the Region 8 title with the lone goal on Oct. 21 and had two assists in the other win vs. Daytona State.
The freshman from Uganda has played in 14 games and has seven goals and nine assists this season.
Eastern Florida State College is the Southeast District champion and will open pool play Sunday afternoon in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Wichita, Kansas. The Titans are the No. 2 seed and will play Murray State at 1:30 p.m. EST in the first pool B game.
