Brevard County Man Dies After Being Hit By Train in Melbourne Near Fee Avenue

Melbourne police officers are investigating an incident that involved a man being hit by a train near the intersection of Fee Avenue in Melbourne on Thursday. Police say at approximately 2:43 p.m. the Melbourne Police Department received a call of a man who was hit by a southbound train near the intersection of Fee Avenue and officers quickly arrived on scene and immediately discovered a deceased male.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers are investigating an incident that involved a man being hit by a train near the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 1 and Fee Avenue in Melbourne on Thursday.

Police say at approximately 2:43 p.m. the Melbourne Police Department received a call of a man who was hit by a southbound train near the intersection of Fee Avenue and officers quickly arrived on scene and immediately discovered a deceased male.

According to a police spokesperson, the initial investigation revealed this was a possible intentional act as the man was witnessed on the tracks, north of the intersection, prior to the train’s arrival.

“This investigation is ongoing, and we are attempting to identify the male and will notify his next of kin when able,” said the police spokesperson.
