Eastern Florida State Men’s Tennis Prepares for NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Texas

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis team will open the NJCAA Division I National Tournament on Monday in Plano, Texas.
The Titans come into the tournament ranked No. 3 in the latest ITA national junior college rankings and has the top seed in two singles and a doubles flight.
Jack Dixon will open the national tournament Monday at 9:15 a.m. against Jacksonville College’s Edoardo Brustia at No. 2 singles. Dixon is the No. 4 seed at No. 2 singles and is back after reaching the quarterfinals last year.
Hugo Car has the No. 1 seed at No. 1 singles and will open the tournament Tuesday after getting a bye in the first round. Car was named the ITA National Sophomore of the Year on Sunday night.
Car and Dixon will play together at No. 1 doubles against East Central Community College’s Cade Cooley and Maddux Turner at 2:15 p.m. Car and Dixon come in as the No. 4 seed.
Nick Devivo has the No. 2 seed at No. 3 singles and has a bye in the first round.
Tomas Quesada Perez is the No. 1 seed at No. 4 singles and also has a bye in the first round. Jett Leong is the No. 3 seed at No. 5 singles and will have a bye on Monday while Alexandr Achour is the No. 4 seed at No. 6 singles and has a bye.
The No. 2 doubles team of Nick Devivo and Colin Tavares are the No. 1 seed and have a bye in the first round while the No. 3 doubles duo of Achour and Perez are the No. 2 seed and also receive a bye.
