MOAACC Honors 17 Distinguished Military Cadets from Brevard County ROTC and JROTC Units

ROTC top annual award for best overall performing winner was Cocoa Beach High School
BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Military Officers Association of America’s Cape Canaveral Chapter recently held a luncheon to honor 17 distinguished military cadets from Brevard County ROTC and JROTC Units.
The cadets received a MOAA medal and a framed certificate. The MOAA Medal was created by the Military Officers Association of America to recognize leadership and the academic achievements of ROTC and JROTC Cadets.
It is presented annually to selected individuals who have good academic standing, are of high moral character and who have exhibited a high degree of loyalty to their unit, their school, and their country.
In addition, these ourstanding cadets have demonstrated exceptional potential for military leadership as a member of the Reserve Officers Training Corp or the Junior Officers Training Corp.
Several Brevard County high schools, as well as Florida Tech, were represented. The recipients were honored by their instructors, their family and friends, and all MOAACC members in attendance.
The ROTC top annual award for best overall performing winner was Cocoa Beach High School.
The honorees and schools were Alexis Martinez, Astronaut High School; Alexandra Castaneda, Palm Bay High; Ariana Gallentine, Cocoa High; Ayla Gordon, Bayside High; Elianna Sanchez, Heritage High; Rhys Gallant, Cocoa Beach High; Zaley Werling, Merritt Island High; Thomas Good, Eau Gallie High; Nathan Gribble, Patrick Civil Patrol; Olivia Troisi, Florida Tech; Emma Johnson, Space Coast High; Paina Romeus, Melbourne High; Jayden Krekow, Florida Tech; Gideon Pike, Satellite High; Connor Hoffman, Viera High; James Captain, Titusville High; and Sarah Closson, Melbourne High.
