Woman Pulled from Ocean in Indian Harbour Beach, Pronounced Dead at the Hospital

Authorities in Brevard County have confirmed the death of a woman who was found floating in the ocean on Saturday morning. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 8 a.m. regarding a possible body seen floating about 200 yards from the shore near the 2000 block of Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway in Indian Harbour Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Authorities in Brevard County have confirmed the death of a woman who was found floating in the ocean on Saturday morning.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the woman initially appeared to have washed up onshore. However, a later statement from the Indian Harbour Beach Police Department provided further clarification.

Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 8 a.m. regarding a possible body seen floating about 200 yards from the shore near the 2000 block of Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway in Indian Harbour Beach.

Officers, along with assistance from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit and the Satellite Beach Fire Department, used jet skis to recover the woman from the water.

Authorities estimate the woman to be between 30 and 40 years old. Despite receiving emergency medical treatment, she was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
