BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – The Florida District 22 All-Star Tournament for 2024 continued Sunday night with the 8/9/10 Baseball Division at Holder Park in Mims.

At Holder Park on Sunday, the 8/9/10 Baseball division continued their District play with 2 games.

Early Game:

Mims LL (visitor) met Merritt Island LL. For Merritt Island, Andrew Lohr, Marty Zeller, and Cooper Milton had doubles, while Lohr and Henry Dearaujo scored twice each in their 10-0 victory.

Late Game:

In the second game, Port St. John LL (visitor) faced off against Indian River City LL. Christian O’Connor reached base and scored both times at bat while Ryan Plunkett and Rylan Wyatt added a run each.

However, It wasn’t enough as Port St. John’s bats were hot. Tanner Kordula, William Hayes, and Lane Rice each scored three times in Port’s 21-4 win.

10/11/12 Softball:

The 10/11/12 Softball division play began Sunday at Port St. John LL’s Fay Park with the visiting Merritt Island LL battling Port St. John LL. The game went into the 5th tied at 6.

Merritt Island’s K. Pierce scored her second run of the game to break the tie giving Merritt Island a 7-6 edge. But in the bottom of the 5th, Port St. John’s Mahoney and M. Ulmer scored their third runs of the game to regain the lead.

The Merritt Island bats were silent in the 6th as Port St. John won 8-7. These teams will meet for game 2 in their series Monday night.
