Eric Allen, an experienced entrepreneur and trailblazer in relationship marketing, has launched Nélo Life, a company aiming to redefine how people connect, travel, and grow together.

Eric Allen Brings Diverse Experience to Nélo Life 

Allen’s formal education includes a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Indiana University and a bachelor’s in business education from the University of Indianapolis. He completed his academic pursuits with a master’s in school counseling from Indiana State University in 2005.

But Allen’s learning didn’t stop in the classroom. His early career saw him on the basketball court, first as a player at Indianapolis Roncalli High School, where he earned the Mental Attitude Award in his senior season. He then transitioned to coaching, leading the Indianapolis Manual High School team to significant achievements. “During my time there, we achieved one of the biggest turnarounds in the state,” Allen says. “We went from 3-17 to 11-11 in my first season, which was the program’s best winning percentage in nearly two decades.” 

He later served as a Division I assistant basketball coach. Eric’s foundation in sports taught him valuable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and perseverance—skills that would serve him well in his future business endeavors. 

His diverse roles as an athlete, coach, husband, father, and businessman have honed a leadership style marked by adaptability and resilience. These qualities now position him to propel Nelo Life to new heights while transforming lives around the world. 

Eric Allen Pivots to Business World

After his coaching stint, Eric Allen made a significant career shift. He left the world of athletics to focus on entrepreneurship, a move partly motivated by a desire to find a better work-life balance as his family grew. “I eventually ditched my job as an athletic coach to find a better balance between work and family,” Allen explains. This decision marked the beginning of a two-decade journey in the business world.

Over the past 20 years, Allen has founded a dozen companies across various industries. These ventures have had a wide-reaching impact, affecting millions of lives and generating billions in revenue. But for Allen, success isn’t just about the bottom line.

“Most of all, my wife Casey and I consistently reinvest thousands of dollars back into the community,” he says, highlighting a commitment to social responsibility that has become a signature of his business philosophy. This commitment to giving back is not just a part of Nélo Life’s operations, but a core value that shapes the company’s culture and mission.

Allen’s entrepreneurial journey has been marked by both successes and challenges. “Truly, by worldly standards, I have ‘failed’ more than I’ve succeeded,” Allen admits. “However, the massive successes that have transformed my life were all the culmination of learning through trial and error, highs and lows personally and professionally.” 

His resilient attitude and ability to learn from setbacks and keep moving forward have been essential to his success. “Winners in life just have a habit of getting back up more often than most when life decisions knock them down,” he says.
