BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Police Department announced the promotion of Officer Bill Stanley to Detective.

Sergeant Payne officially welcomed him to the Criminal Investigations Division and presented him with his detective badge.

“Detective Stanley is thrilled to serve the citizens of Cocoa Beach and has already had a busy day,” said a Cocoa Beach Police spokesperson.

The Cocoa Beach Police Department is a dedicated team with over 90 members and includes 43 sworn police officers, telecommunicators, beach rangers, parking enforcement specialists, code enforcement officers, and civilian personnel.

The department serves approximately 11,000 full-time residents and over two million visitors annually.
