BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers 4-Star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs made his college commitment to the University of Missouri on Space Coast Daily TV on Thursday.

Boggs’ made the commitment known on Thursday after choosing Missouri over UCF, USC, and Georgia.

The commitment is a huge get for the Missouri Tigers and head coach Eliah Drinkwitz, who are coming off a 11-2 season last year.

Missouri’s recruiting class now stands at 13 commitments. Boggs is also the only recruit from the state of Florida for the Tigers in the 2025 class. The Tigers recruiting is now currently ranked No. 30 in the nation, according to Rivals.

The four-star wideout finished last season with 86 receptions, 1,504 yards, and 24 touchdowns. Boggs is poised to be one of the most talented players in the state of Florida this upcoming season as he enters his senior year.

The back-to-back state champion receiver decommitted to Ohio State back in March and eventually narrowed his recruitment to Missouri, UCF, USC, and Georgia.

Boggs will now join up former Rockledge Raiders head coach Wayne Younger, a Cocoa Tigers alum, who was just recently named the Assistant Director / Player Personnel at Missouri.

Last season, Younger was the longest-tenured head coach in Brevard County after accepting the Rockledge job back in 2015. During his tenure, he finished with an overall record of 64-35. His duties at Missouri now include, but not limited to, ensuring potential student-athletes have relevant information and incoming student-athletes have all materials submitted for admittance. He will also monitor admissions status of incoming student-athletes and monitor progress-toward-degree requirements and eligibility status.

The Cocoa Tigers finished the 2023 season 14-1 overall and claimed their sixth state championship in program history, their second title under head coach Ryan Schneider, after defeating the Bradford Tornadoes 20-6 in Tallahassee.

The Cocoa Tigers are slated to host the Titusville Terriers on August 23 to open the 2024 high school football season. Live coverage of the game can be seen on Space Coast Daily TV. Pregame will start at 6:30 p.m.
