Bobby Freeman’s Weekend Surf Report: Swells from Hurricane Erensto Will Produce Shoulder to Head High Waves

Space Coast native Bobby Freeman’s passion for surfing began at a very young age, practically as soon as he learned to walk. As an aspiring surfer, he entered the competitive world of the Eastern Surfing Association, where he had the opportunity to surf alongside the legendary 11-time champion Kelly Slater.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 16

■ SURF – Solid E swell from Hurricane Erensto will be producing shoulder to head high and bigger waves with choppy conditions. All surf spots up and down the Space Coast will have the same conditions. NE Winds will be 12mph – 15mph

High Tide – 5:05am Low Tide – 11:06am

SATURDAY, AUGUST 17

■ SURF – Grab your favorite board, plenty of wax and GO SURF! Swell will be from the NE at head high to overhead and semi-clean in the morning then semi-choppy later in the afternoon at most spots. Smaller surf in the Cape Canaveral area due to the Cape blocking the swell. Winds out of the NE 5-10mph.

High Tide – 5:59am Low Tide – 12:13pm

SUNDAY, AUGUST 18

■ SURF – Put the yard work on hold because Sunday will be another good surf day! Better conditions compared to Saturday but a little smaller in size. ESE/SW Winds will be around 5mph producing semi-clean conditions.

High Tide – 6:54am Low Tide – 1:04pm
