The Cocoa Tigers football team is ranked number 12 in the nation on ESPN’s SC Next Top 25 High School Football rankings and will travel to Mainland this Friday in what will be a battle of two defending state champions

COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Tigers football team is ranked number 12 in the nation on ESPN’s SC Next Top 25 High School Football rankings and will travel to Mainland this Friday in what will be a battle of two defending state champions.

Tune into all the action live on Space Coast Daily TV, with kickoff set for 7 p.m., and Space Coast Daily Sports Editor Juan Rodriguez and Friday Night Lockeroom’s Terry Spain on the call.

Cocoa defeated the Titusville Terriers in week 1, 42-10.

The Cocoa Tigers entered this season as back-to-back state champions after claiming their sixth state title in program history and the second under head coach Ryan Schneider.

The Tigers finished the 2023 season with a 14-1 record. Below is the 2024 Cocoa football schedule.

This year marks the 30th season of high school football coverage for the principals of Space Coast Daily and the Friday Night Locker Room – brought you by Erdman Automotive, Health First and All Points.
