Health First Heroes for the Homeless skates into the Space Coast Iceplex February 20-21

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The chill of the ice and the roar of the crowd will carry more than just the thrill of competition when Hockey Heroes for the Homeless skates into the Space Coast at the Space Coast Iceplex in Rockledge/Viera, on Friday, February 20, from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m., and Saturday, February 21, from 2:15 to 6:15 p.m.
The Space Coast Iceplex will transform into a hub of compassion and community spirit as NHL legends, local players, and fans come together for a special Pro/Am charity event benefiting Genesis House, an organization dedicated to helping homeless women and children in Brevard County.
Presented as the 2026 Healthfirst Hockey Heroes for the Homeless event, the two-day experience blends high-level hockey with an even higher purpose. From the moment the puck drops, every pass, shot, and goal will represent hope for families seeking safety, stability, and a fresh start.
Attendees can look forward to seeing some of hockey’s most recognizable names take the ice, including Peter Bondra, Stu Grimson, Brian Propp, Mike Krushelnyski, and other NHL alumni. Their presence adds star power to an event designed not only to entertain but to inspire generosity and awareness throughout the community.

Friday evening will feature the FP&L All-Star Game, setting the tone for an exciting weekend of action. Saturday continues with hours of fast-paced play, giving fans multiple opportunities to watch elite talent while supporting a cause that directly impacts neighbors in need.
Throughout the event, a silent auction will feature unique memorabilia and items, providing another way for attendees to support Genesis House’s mission.
One of the most welcoming aspects of Hockey Heroes for the Homeless is that admission is free, ensuring everyone can attend, cheer, and be part of something meaningful. Families, longtime hockey fans, and first-time spectators alike are invited to experience the excitement while helping make a difference.
More than just a sporting event, Hockey Heroes for the Homeless is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose. By filling the stands, spreading the word, and supporting the cause, Space Coast residents can help provide hope, healing, and a brighter future for women and children facing homelessness.
