BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – So this guy, Mark Kimbrell decided to take drinking a driving to a whole different level as apparently he never got the memo that if you mess around in Brevard County, you’re gonna find out the hard way.
The incident started last night when Corporal Hanigan observed a vehicle driving without any tail lights so he attempted to stop the vehicle and then observed the vehicle quickly turning towards a gated community and the driver walking away from the car.
As Deputies were addressing the driver he told them he was sick and was going to throw up.
As if things weren’t bad enough Kimbrell was observed wearing a “murse”, also known as a man purse, which our Deputies told him to remove and show them his hands.
Kimbrell ignored the verbal commands as he apparently was very attached to his murse and resisted as Deputies attempted to detain him.

Once Deputies were finally able to secure him and of course the murse, they found out why Kimbrell didn’t want to get caught behind the wheel.
For starters, the bag contained alcohol bottles and some juice, secondly my main man hasn’t had a driver’s license since 2016, next he was seemingly drunk, and if all of that were not enough, the car was reported stolen to Melbourne PD.
Ultimately, and thanks to some great work by our Deputies, Kimbrell was charged with driving while license suspended with knowledge, resisting without violence, and DUI.
And of course, his actions earned him a free ride to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge in our lodge courtesy van which might be the first vehicle he has ridden in recently that wasn’t stolen.
Great job by Corporal Hanigan and our Deputies for getting this guy off our roadways and in sending the message one more time that if you drink and drive in Brevard County your butt is going straight to jail.
