Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach to Host ‘An Old-Fashioned Christmas’ Dec. 8

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach will present the program beloved by locals, An Old-Fashioned Christmas, at 3:30 p.m. on December 8.
The free concert at 3400 North Atlantic Avenue A1A is part of the 2023-24 season of the popular Dr. Vernon Boushell Concert Series. It will feature traditional Christmas songs and carols performed by the Indialantic Chamber Singers and the Brevard Youth Chorus.
The Chamber Singers will sing time-honored favorites like “Ding Dong Merrily on High,” “Sing We Now of Christmas,” and more, while the youth singers will serenade the audience with “Joy to the Word,” “Deck the Hall,” “O’ Little Town of Bethlehem” and other songs of the season.
The young singers will accompany themselves with choir chimes on several songs. Both groups will come together on several numbers, including “I Saw Three Ships” and “O’ Holy Night.”
The whole host of well-loved Christmas songs will be performed under the direction of Beth Green, conductor for both the Indialantic Chamber Singers and Brevard Youth Chorus.
The audience will be invited to sing along to several of the holiday favorites on the program. The Dr. Vernon Boushell concert series is a musical legacy dedicated to uplifting the people of Brevard.
