KICKOFF SET FOR 7 P.M. ON SPACE COAST DAILY TV

Call it what you want; the BBQ Bowl, the biggest rivalry on the Space Coast (of course that’s up for debate), or simply – Cocoa vs Rockledge. The Cocoa Tigers enter this matchup as defending back-to-back State Champions with a 5-3 record on the season. The Rockledge Raiders on the other hand are 6-2 on the season.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Call it what you want; the BBQ Bowl, the biggest rivalry on the Space Coast (of course that’s up for debate), or simply – Cocoa vs Rockledge. The Cocoa Tigers enter this matchup as defending back-to-back State Champions with a 5-3 record on the season. The Rockledge Raiders on the other hand are 6-2 on the season.

Cocoa has won the last four BBQ bowls in a row and leads in the series overall with a 27-8 record between the two.

Quarterback Brady Hart of the Tigers has thrown for 2,594 yards, 25 TDs, and has thrown 7 interceptions. Offensively this unit is led by a strong group with numerous players returning from last year’s State Championship team.

With the strong trench play upfront, the Cocoa offense has been balanced all season long with 4-star UCF commit WR Jayvan Boggs standing out among the rest with 14 total touchdowns this season.

Defensively, the Tigers have been tasked with defending some of the most challenging programs up and down the state. The team has totaled 587 tackles through 8 games.

Overall, when you think of a well-balanced football team, look no further than the 2024 Cocoa Tigers.

The Raiders are led by first year head coach Tyrone Giscombe. Rockledge will be challenged with a difficult task Friday Night as they travel to Dick Blake Stadium to face the defending State Champions.

Quarterback Traven Green has 11 touchdown passes on the season while young rising star ATH Jamarcus Giscombe leads the team with 10 total touchdowns.

As a team, the Raiders have a total of 2,458 all purpose yards on the season. Rockledge has 441 total tackles and 17 sacks on the season heading into their final regular-season game.

The 46th BBQ Bowl has all the makings of a classic! It is a game a lot of people have been pointing to since the beginning of the season.
