Food will benefit Central Florida families struggling to make ends meet
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic and his team once again came together to participate in WESH 2’s annual Share Your Christmas Food Drive.
For over a decade, the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office has been dedicated to significantly impacting the local community, consistently collecting food to help those in need. This year was no different.
In a heartfelt effort to give back, they gathered an impressive 609 pounds of non-perishable food, all of which would benefit Central Florida families struggling to make ends meet.
Bobanic expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause.
“It is such a blessing to know our donated items can make even a small difference for families during this joyous season of giving,” said Bobanic.
“Everyone should be able to share a meal during the holidays with their loved ones, which motivates us every year to give what we can.”
This initiative began over ten years ago and has now seen more than 6,200 pounds of food donated by the Supervisor of Elections Office alone.
The food collected during this drive will help fill the shelves of local food banks and pantries, ensuring that families in need across the region can enjoy a warm, festive meal during the holidays.
Each year, they are reminded of the impact that collective effort can have when people come together to support their neighbors. This year, as the season of giving unfolds, the office looks forward to continuing its tradition and helping Central Florida families in need.
