BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Linda Roben brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Volunteer Citizen on Patrol (VCOP) with the Palm Bay Police Department.

With a distinguished 40-year career as a licensed commercial insurance agent, Roben has honed exceptional customer service skills and a natural ability to connect with people.

Her passion for community service began in Miami, where she and her husband volunteered with the local police department, focusing on data entry and special event support.

As a VCOP for the Palm Bay Police Department, Roben is a welcoming presence at the front desk, the first point of contact for many citizens visiting the department.

Her empathetic approach helps put visitors at ease as she guides them to the appropriate departments. In addition to providing assistance and direction, Roben processes VIN checks for new residents registering their vehicles and facilitates Fix-It Ticket reviews for minor vehicle equipment repairs.

Roben also efficiently schedules fingerprinting appointments and supports recruiting events throughout the year.

“Linda’s dedication exemplifies the vital role of VCOPs in fostering a strong connection between the police department and the community,” said a Palm Bay Police spokesperson.

If you want to become a VCOP, call 321-953-8987 or email vcop@palmbayflorida.org for more information.
